How we handle your details.
What GreenBat collects when you get in touch, why, how long it is kept, and the rights you have over it under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
1. Who is responsible for your information

2. What we collect
The enquiry form on the products page asks for three things: your name, your email address, and a description of what you are bonding. You may add anything else you choose to include in the message.
If you email us directly, we hold whatever your email contains, along with your email address.
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Page typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request, including your IP address, to Google when a page loads.
3. How the enquiry form works
When you press "Send enquiry", what you typed is sent over an encrypted connection to our website, which is hosted by Cloudflare. The website passes it straight on as an email to our sales inbox, using Resend, an email delivery service. The website itself does not store your enquiry. Cloudflare and Resend handle it only to deliver it to us, and both are based outside South Africa, so your details cross the border in the process. Ticking the consent box on the form includes agreeing to that transfer. Resend keeps a short delivery record of the message under its own policy.
To keep out spam, the products page also runs Cloudflare Turnstile. It checks, from technical signals your browser sends (such as your IP address and browser details), that a person rather than a program is using the form. Occasionally it asks you to tick a box. Cloudflare uses those signals only for this check and does not use them for advertising.
If the website cannot send your enquiry, the form opens your own email application with the message pre-filled instead. In that case nothing leaves your device until you send the email yourself, from your own account.
4. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and, where you ask for one, prepare a quote.
- To follow up on that enquiry, including technical questions about your application.
- To keep a record of what was asked and what we advised, so later orders can be matched to it.
We rely on your consent (the checkbox on the form) and on our legitimate interest in responding to a request you made. We do not use your details for marketing you did not ask for, and we do not sell or rent them.
5. Who sees it
Your enquiry is read by the GreenBat team members who handle sales and technical support. It is stored in our email system. [pending: name the email provider and any CRM or quoting software GreenBat uses]
We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights
Under POPIA you can, at any time:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to how we are using it, or withdraw the consent you gave;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe we have handled your information unlawfully.
To use any of these rights, contact our information officer using the details in section 1. We will respond within the time POPIA allows.
8. Security
